Turn Turn Turn

To everything (turn, turn, turn)There is a season (turn, turn, turn)And a time to every purpose, under heaven

The name of this blog is Culminating the Ages.  As the earth dances her dance with the sun, moon, planets and stars we trace a course through both space and time.  There was a beginning,  a meridian, and there will be an end.

Joseph Smith said:

“The building up of Zion is a cause that has interested the people of God in every age; it is a theme upon which prophets, priests and kings have dwelt with peculiar delight; they have looked forward with joyful anticipation to the day in which we live; and fired with heavenly and joyful anticipations they have sung and written and prophesied of this our day; but they died without the sight; we are the favored people that God has made choice of to bring about the Latter-day glory; it is left for us to see, participate in and help to roll forward the Latter-day glory.”

Joseph, the choice seer, began the work that will culminate in the return of the Lord to claim his rightful place over this creation.  He brought forth the spirit of Elias and prepared the way for the spirit of Elijah, preliminary to the return of our Messiah.

In a Denver blog post he stated:

Joseph spoke as the Elias sent to prepare.  He accomplished all that was required in his day.  But he did not accomplish what might have been done if those who lived in his day had been faithful.  There will come another with the Spirit of Elijah, whom Joseph foretold.  When that window opens it will require better response than in Joseph’s day, or another generation will pass away un-redeemed, but not un-warned.  Right now the question is whether we are willing to still receive what Joseph in the spirit of Elias gave us.  Hence the present series of talks.  They are designed to let us remember.  Before the Spirit of Elijah will be permitted to be heard, we must remember.  God cannot give more when we forget what we already have received.

and furthermore in the "repentance" 40YIM talk at the conclusion  stated

When God spoke through Joseph and we forget him, then we have no right to expect collectively, that He's going to move anything forward for us. The first order of repentance is to remember what God gave to us through Joseph. You do that, and then you find God is perfectly willing to pick it up and move it forward. You don't do that, and God will simply wait for you to get around to discharge the duty that devolving upon you.

it turns out "remembering what God gave to us through Joseph"  was the precursor to obtaining a Covenant to be numbered among the house of Israel.  And it looked suspiciously like a benign scripture project had a child with a tree pruner.

On Christmas of 2017, volume two of the restoration scriptures was released that contains the JST of the New Testament and the Book of Mormon,  titled the New covenants.  In 3 Nephi 10:1 of that volume it states that after we have come unto the covenant to be numbered among the remnant of Jacob that we may know that the work of the Father has commenced among all the dispersed of his people. The times of the gentiles has come in.  The work is moving out now to all the dispersed.

On January 2,  and week and a day after the physical token and sign of our repentance was made available, the LDS church was turned over to the leadership of Mr. Nelson, who spearheaded the casting out of their synagogues an ambassador sent from the throne room of God, with a commission from Father to deliver a message, and soon those who continue to discard that message will sustain Mr. Nelson as their prophet in an oath-like indication that they recognize his calling as a prophet to be legitimate and binding upon them.  They will "bind themselves"  to the casting out. Cause to lament for our friends and family.

With such a great work before us,  I desire to look ahead,  cuz I dont think the command to be the salt of the earth is achieved by looking back.

  1. A time to be born and a time to die,
  2. a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted,
  3. a time to kill and a time to heal,
  4. a time to break down and a time to build up, a time to weep and a time to laugh,
  5. a time to morn and a time to dance......

Turn Turn Turn indeed.

About

I have been, of necessity, focused on greater responsibilities for a time. Although the Lord wants me to share here, and this is a form of ministry, I fall under these words:

Behold, this is your work: to keep my commandments, yea, with all your might, mind, and strength. Seek not to declare my word, but first seek to obtain my word and then shall your tongues be loosed; then if you desire, you shall have my Spirit and my word, yea, the power of God unto the convincing of men. But now hold your peace, study my word which hath gone forth among the children of men...

This is therefore not a "declaration" of the Lords word, but a public display of my "seeking" to obtain it, and my study of the word that has gone forth among the children of men.

It is not a doctrinal discourse, but more reflects my humanity, as I traverse this life.

It also reflects my deep love and admiration of the Savior, and in my adoration my desire to be like him.

as Nephi said:
I glory in plainness, I glory in truth, I glory in my Jesus, for he hath redeemed my soul from hell.
